Aftermarked CD player

Ive just bought a new headunit and the new fascia to fit in my Z. The problem is that the headunit doesnt fit through the fascia. After having a close look at the fascia it looks like the bottom bar may supposed to be removed can anyone confirm this is correct before I do it? Its a bit difficult to explain but Im hoping someone who has fitted an aftermarket CD knows what Im talking about.

you will probably need to post pictures before anybody can comment, but the faceplate should just fit in place without trimming etc.
 
Ok cheers, I just thought someone might have had the same issue and know what I was on about. I got itchy fingers and removed it anyways and it now fits fine.

Ive found 2 different pics of the same part so Im guessing the bar needs removed to be fitted, it was quite badly moulded like the little bits of extra plastic you get on model kits if you know what I mean.

Anyways it fits now ive removed it. :)
