After service thoughts

Had the full works on my old dolly last week.

Oil & Filter
Pollen filter (bloody filthy)
Air filter
New iridium plugs
New Brake pads and fluid (discs were fine)
Calliper refurb silver
Gearbox fluid change
Diff fluid change
Air con top up
Two new rear tyres

Took her out for a 30 mile spin yesterday and I have to say that the gear change is smother, and the engine pickup has improved. However, the brake pads still need a little bedding in as they don't have the same bite as the old ones yet

All in all very pleased :)

I've heard that changing the gearbox fluid can smooth out the gear changes, did you have all this done at an Indy?

Hi Marlon

My neighbour two doors away is a freelance mechanic who works from home did most of it, with a little help/hinderance from me :)

That sounds like the perfect setup to me - I'd love to service mine with the help someone who knows what they're doing :)

And the added benefit is that you know it's been done properly with no corner cutting.
