"Affordable" Supercars

Bit of fun out of interest.

Watched the top gear where they buy an 850 and a big merc, and now Just doing a bit of dreaming really waiting for the day to tick away and the kit car thread set me off looking at cars that are cheap (by aussie standards, home of rip-off motoring as much as I love it) and good value at the moment due to their prices, but still offer amazing performance and look stunning.. Plenty of cars in the UK that have dropped to the sub 25k bracket (in pounds), thought it might be interesting to see what sort of performance people could come up with for 25k and under, any age, any engine, 2 seats / 2+2, and fast  Some that came to mind for me:

Noble M12 (there were actually LOTS under 25k and the cheapest I saw was 18k about a year and a half ago!)

Porsche 911 Turbo

Ferrari 348 (at a push)

The Honda NSX - I like them, always have, but to me they're not supercars. Not a badge thing, the performance of the wetter versions isn't strong enough imo although by all accounts they handle like a dream

DB9's (have seen a few around the 27k mark) one of the best looking cars ever imo!)

DB7's, XKRs, the list goes on.

But are there any surprising exotica options that lurk out there?

Too easy. A Corvette C6. Plenty of low milers under £25k.

At a push for a bit more you could have this -

TVR 350 can be had for that money, sound great, go well and look good

Older supercars are great for badge appeal only and perhaps design. ...but in terms of performance. ...not too sure by modern day standards.

Now a Lotus Esprit Turbo a la James Bond....now you're talking!!!
