AFE Stage 2 Cold Intake System

Okay so I was browsing the tinternet at parts for my 3.0L Coupe Si just out of interest and come across this Cold intake system that would fit my Z. Was amazed to find something as the market for the Zeds is very limited!

Just want some opinions on it or if anyone has any experience with one? Meant to gain 7 HP which will be hardly noticed in a car as powerful as it is But I would expect her to sound slightly different especially when giving it some, worth it?? (Converts to around £280)
 
Jan_tekin has one. So worth a PM. As you say even if it does add 7 bhp, which I doubt you won't notice it.

Can't say that I have noticed any gain in power but it certainly hasn't lost any either as some might say. When I first got it I was a little loud but I woud'nt be without it now :D I have even had MM mod my back box for that little bit extra noise :evil:

I did try to record it but it never comes out like it is, but it should give you an idea :)

I also have one on my coupe. I went for the dry filter to prevent the potential "oil on the MAF" issue. Fitting is easy enough, and the sound improvement is hilarious. No need to bother with an exhaust with that fitted.

As jan_tekin says, if it improves power, I can't feel it, but it's a more easily reversed mod than an exhaust change, particularly DIY, and it doesn't drone like sports exhausts can. Also doesn't annoy the neighbours...
 
I have the equivalent on my ///M but with the oiled filter and it sounds awesome.
