afe intake kit

Hi, anybody tried one of these intake kits on a 3.0si I am thinking of getting one. Looks like its only available from USA £220 plus postage. Cheers

I had one fitted on the M - loved it!

Rumor has it that the owner of aFe is a huge BMW fan.

I have one on my ///M and the difference at low revs is more rumbling and bass whilst over 4,000rpm the car snarls and screams. It sounds fantastic.
Dave TWN, had you extracted the foam from your sound generator? Perhaps the aFe intake sounded different outside but within the car the sound generator already increased the conducted intake sounds to a level that a new intake made no appreciable difference.

Bought from a forum member. There is an induction roar at higher revs. Not noticed any difference in performance.
