I’m looking to purchase a set of Aeros however, they are a bazillion miles away so would need couriering - what are peoples experience with Hermes or DPD? Am I taking to big a chance using a courier?

Hermes are pretty good - never really had an issues with them or DPD, you can pay for insurance as well.
The problem is the insurance only goes up to £300

I’m sure Parcel Force WorldWide, not Royal Mail allows you to tailor £££’s covered. Iirc it’s got something like £100/£200 cover built in but you pay another couple of pound for every additional £100 you want covered. I also recall it was a bit of a PITA to find the additional cover but I think it was something like a wee underlined phrase like not enough cover included and when you pressed that it took you onto a calculator to work out the additional cost.

The other bonus was, within reason, they don’t have the same size restrictions as most couriers

DPD where packaged well are IMO good.

With Paisley freight, if it’s a good day  , looking at their reviews on a bad one you’re in the lap of the Gods

Simon’ll be after cup holders next, that’ll be just under the ins £300 mark
Or maybe someone will do a 5hr + round trip to go and get them for me to save me a bucket load of time!

Cheers buddy, I’ve been Furloughed so I’ve offered my apologies to the seller, who was prepared to meet half way, and stepped aside so someone else can jump in. I think in these uncertain times it might be best to just see how things play out.

Humm... maybe a Forum chain if things are relaxed in Feb/Mar???? ... given travel restrictions & distancing measures

if they’re in Kent, I could collect & take them to someone you know in Surrey who could take them to someone u know in Hampshire etc etc... to your gaff up north

I'm in Surrey, and could help, but as they're areos... they might go missing in transit and end up on my Zed!

Do you honestly think they’d make it to Surrey :poke:

I have used Hermes a few times to send expensive parts to my mate in Germany and have not had any problems. I just make sure the packaging is very good and the label is attached secure.
