Aero side skirts?

Right Ive decided to go for just the Aero side skirts. Ive seen this pic that somebody linked me too a while back and I think it looks good even without the front and rear bumpers.

Has anyone got a picture with them on a standard car (18" wheels, standard suspension)?

That one looks lowered and I've no idea what size those wheels are!!!
 
Here they are in black, standard wheels and suspension. Definitely more subtle on a darker car.

They look great but I think the front has a much bigger impact than the skirts if you were going to get just one!?
 
Top picture is 2.5 with M suspension and 19" wheels, owner GVfB.
 
Yeah that's GVfB's Z4'. But I think he's got Hartge lowering springs and the wheels are 18".

I think my prference is for without. I can see why you may want them (and they do look good) - but I think the basic shape has enough aggression.
 
I go back and forth on these all the time. Sometimes I think they look great, but other times I think they sort of give the car a strange proportion. They almost seem to shorten the distance between the wheels and make the car look awkward as in the first pic. Yet in the second pic it looks nice, but it might be too much for such a small car. I think I need to see these in person to really decide. And just a month ago I tried buying some used ones that were for sale. lol
