No, nothing extra's being fitted to my Z4 - this is about my van but I'm hoping for advice all the same
My van has standard grey plastic textured bumpers. I've got a front splitter ready to fit which is to be bonded to the front bumper using the epoxy stuff supplied. And I have the van booked in for the bumpers to be colour-coded next week...
The query I have: is it better to fit the splitter BEFORE or AFTER the bumpers are painted? i.e. should I fit it now to the grey textured bumper, then have the whole bumper/splitter painted with the splitter attached. Or should I wait, get the bumper and splitter painted seperately, then attach the splitter to the bumper afterwards?
Or, does it really make much difference and am I worrying over nothing?
I'm asking here as I'm aware a couple of folk have fitted Alpina splitters and I guess that involves sticking the splitter on top of an already-painted bumper. But, I'm not sure if I'd get a stronger fitting attaching it directly to the grey plastic, then having the whole lot painted as one...
Cheers for any advice
