Away on my holidays tomorrow and was wondering as to leave the handbrake on for the next 10 days, or just leave the car in 'P'.

Your car is a late model where the rear brake ECU problem has been fixed…I believe the OP is a much earlier car..hence my comments..

Mine doesn't (2013 LCI). I know because I checked that it doesn't when changing rear brakes, as that would be a pain and have to be done with a coding tool.True-Blue said:How do you leave the handbrake off on a manual E89?
It seems to put itself on automatically after the ignition has been off for a short period…
