Advice Please-Whats my z4 worth-convince me not to sell

Hello,

I've been thinking of selling my z4 as I could do with a boot bid enough to fit my road race bike in. A friend of mine who has an 2005 1 series 120i se has asked me if i'd be interested in an exchange which is tempting from a no hassle point of view. Anyway, could someone advise a good selling price for mine so I can do a fair exchange, spec as follows:

2003 z4 3.0i roadster
64k miles
FSH, V5, Mots etc
manual
sterling grey
upgraded PHILIPS XTREME POWER H7 head lights (so not HID)
Carver 10 speaker system
memory heated seats
parking sensors
sat nav system with pop up screen
steering wheel controls
108 18" alloys
extended storage pack
aux input in glovebox

I will be very sad to say good bye to my z4 so its a very hard choice to make. Also I wasn't that fussed about the 1 series and more had my eye on a mk5 golf gti next or a 2008 Honda civic so thoughts and opinions on comparing the three would be interesting to hear.

No expert on roadies but a few on here lately very similar £5500 / £6500 asking ?
Its a nice colour/wheel combo & summers coming which strengthen's your position .
A pointless move though if you don't want the 1 series 8)
i have had a MK5 Golf GT tdi & it was everything you could ever want in comfort space & performance but comes with little rarity value as there are so many MK 5's on the road .
Also had a Civic for a courtesy for 2 weeks & hated every part of the car , i would not want to even WIN one :oops:

What was wrong with the civic do you think? I test drove one and found it smoother than a vag group a3/fabia or golf, not exciting by any means but more interesting to look at and a fair amount of torque from the 2.2 litre engine.

I just test drove my friends 1 series and it's quite quick for a hatch, definitely lacking the looks compared to the z4 and also the torque which it and powerful diesels have.

:) from memory it was a 57 reg petrol version that felt like a empty crisp packet blowing in the wind when it was on the motorway ,
i think they made the car light as poss for better MPG ?
The spoiler thingy across the rear window was pure Blue Peter competition winner that annoyed the hell out of me ,
The dashboard clocks resembled a display you would expect in a budget aquarium .
The seat trim material was car boot quality & it was just embarrassing to be seen in unless you go to church ( which i don't )
Factor in the Honda badge which in general you don't see on the roads until after 10-30am as most owners are retired :oops:
 
ok so it seems mentioning the civic was a bad idea, but that's fine I understand where everyone is coming from with there comments. :) Looking on autotrader I think the z is currently worth quite a bit more than that, particularly if you only look at manual versions. I was hoping for 7ish k for it and think the 120i se is worth around 5.5k.
 
Dave, it is worth nothing. No point in trying to sell. Instead, beat yourself round the head with a haddock, strap your thumbs up and have a good night's sleep. When you get up, have two Weetabix with full fat milk and go for a drive with the roof down tomorrow, really fast on some twisty lanes you know well. Take two nurofen, have a double espresso, then hoon home. Once parked walk about 4m away from the car in any direction and look back at it. If that doesn't sort you out, try squatting about 8m away directly behind it and admire that sexy Z ass, the way the wide rear wheels angle out, the loooooow ride, and squint to the side to catch how the light plays off the rear wings and doors.

If none of that works just scrap it and buy a push bike. You can't be saved.
