Advice please! Remote central locking problem

I have a 2003 3.0 Z4. Since I have owned it the passenger door never unlocks with the interior button, key or with the remote. But it will lock everytime no matter which way I lock the car.
Recently the drivers door will not unlock with the RCL and works around 50% of the time. It is not the fob battery either!

Any ideas? Is this a common problem? Had a search but could not find anything!

The passenger door sounds like it's faulty, but have you tried the other key to make doubly sure it's not a flat key battery? When I got my car one of the keys was flat and it would unlock, but not lock. All very odd.
