Hi All

I'm looking to buy an E89 with a budget of around £10k. Where is the best place to look to ensure I get a decent car without being ripped off? Autotrader, BMW Approved, local papers, magazines...?

Any advice on what to look out for also generously accepted.

Cheers
Andy

To be honest I would start looking in the classified section on here - most of us tend to spoil our Z4s because the one thing we have in common is that we love them!

After that maybe other car-specific forums (I found my last one on P*stonheads) then I suppose it's AutoTrader, Bay of E, Gumtree and all the usual places.

Hope you find one you like soon - then you can post the photos (we like photos on here, just in case you didn't know).

Lots of places to look at. Autotrader Gumtree Ebay Pistonheads even your local free paper. When looking to buy a car check the MOT history on the free website. Do not buy the first car you see . Take your time. Check both the car and the seller ! In an ideal world you will want to buy a low mileage, low number of previous owners car with excellent bodywork. Do the usual check for write off/ log book finance etc. If you do see a car you are interested in place its details on this web site and I am sure many of the members will give you their opinions. I looked at four cars before buying my current one. Had to travel over 250 miles to get it but it was well worth it so don't let distance put you off.
