Advice on alloy wheel colour (with silver car)

I've always liked the ellipsoid alloys, yet my Z4 has these...

So I've just purchased a set of 18" ellipsoid alloys on eBay and I'm getting them refurbed.

Obviously I can get the colour changed. So wondering if I should stick with the OEM silver or slightly darken them. My preference is probably to keep things original, but wondering what the feeling is (with silver cars) or if anyone has any examples of different combinations?

To give you an idea of how darker wheels look on a silver car, look at this thread, for a set of wheel colour comparisons that I mocked up a while ago - it's on an E89 but that shouldn't really matter for this purpose.

Anyone got a pic of shadow chrome wheels on a silver car?
I've seen the shadow chrome in this thread http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=86945&hilit=shadow+chrome+107
They are very nice, but I'm unsure against silver - probably better suited to a grey car.

On a silver car you can afford to add some grey to the wheels & get away with it nicely
Ben g has a set of elipsoids recently painted that would look ace against silver paint

That photo makes me want those wheels an a red roof

I picked my wheels up today from http://www.platinumwheelrefurb.com in Swindon. I brought them on eBay and got them shipped direct to them for refurbing, so today was the first time I'd seen them. Very pleased. I ended up getting them done in OEM silver as I wasn't sure on what colour to go for and decided it could be an expensive mistake, so stuck with the OEM silver to keep the car looking original. I really needed to see other Z4 wheels in other colours first, ideally on a Z4 meet, but the timings was all wrong.
Still, I'm very pleased. One coat of Armour All Shield for Wheels (see http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/60553/best-wheel-sealant-2016) inside and out, which used nearly two cans. Then let dry and the wheels are fitted.

My locking wheel bolts need replacing and all the bolts are pretty rusty and look untidy against the newly painted wheels.
Was looking at this full set of new bolts on eBay. But then do I stick with black or go with a new chrome set? Or just buy some cheap caps?
