Hello!

Simple enough question ... if i add cruise control to my 06 reg, will it invalidate the AUC warranty?

I suspect the only people who could answer that definitively would be BMW, and don't be surprised if they said "not of we fit it"! But its only plug and play as far as I'm aware isn't it, so can't see they would have a valid case to refuse cover unless you buggered something electrical on the way?

on a 2006 car though it's a little more involved thatn plug and play - you need to add the wiring into the engine bay...

as lacoupade - BMW will have the definitive answer...

Yeah - aware that being 06 its more complicated.

Thinking its probably better to leave it until the warranty is gone.

If during the fitting you damaged something or created a related problem then that would for sure impact the warranty but only on that component. IT would be tough for BMW to reject say a gearbox claim because you fitted cruise control.

Personally I'd go ahead and do it as the risk is so small.

As CJ said, they would have to prove it was the cause of the problem. I have never had any warranty issues and my car has had a few mods, including retrofit SatNav when only 18 months old.
