AC Compressor

AC was working fine last summer, this summer (Australia) first time I turn it on, no cold air came out, took it to this guy to gas it, hooked it up to a gauge and came to the conclusion that its not the gas but the compressor, they are worth a fortune here, Is there a way to take it out and fix it? or has to be replaced.
 
Oh dear not very often used in uk i.e. crap weather, and when the sun is out the top is down. Hope someone comes up with a not too costly fix, keep us updated and all the best. Cheers Baz :) :)

Complete vehicle broken for parts on Ebay. Not sure if the 2.5 compressor fits all(surely they should be the same?) and it may be that the carriage to Australia would be too costly as the compressor is heavy, just a thought.

Anyone with AC should switch it on and run it at least once a week, preventative maintainance. :thumbsup:
