abs module pump issues

Hi All
I have the dreaded 3 lights up for abs and traction control of which we have diagnosed with a reader. After speaking to ecu testing they said they can only repair certain part number units and yep you guessed it - mine dosent look to be one of them. Also i checked my part numbers against the list on control units .co.uk and its the same there. Any ideas on how to sort this for mot if they are unable to rebuild the unit?
Thanks - Andy.

I've replaced 2 on an e39 and e46. You need to get a module with the exact same part number and then pair it with NCS, however the e39 actually didn't need it from memory, I think I just cleared the codes. It depends if the module comes from a same spec donor, I.e. manual or auto, year, etc.

i have one......from a 2003 ....2.2 .....let me know the numbers you are looking for .

Ah Ok thats good to know. I'll see how I get on with ecu testing and take it from there. I have emailed them pics of the unit showing numbers so I shall see what they say. If no joy there then maybe I'll take you up on that other unit.
Thanks again for the advice!

I replaced my module but stuck at pairing! I have the amber brake light and the exclamation point on the dash :( What is needed?

First make sure it is definitely the module at fault, then you need to use NCS to read the module and store the trc file, then when the new module is fitted you code that trc to the new module, basically rewriting the old values. You may have to then do steering angle, etc with DIS and then clear the codes. Progman I believe can also do it and some people have used slightly different methods, but that's how I did it and it's all just reprogramming the new module to the vehicle. It HAS to be a module that is identical to the original, ALL the numbers on it must match.

You dont actually say what the codes were? - Odd - its usually the pump brushes that seize that cause the ABS lights - in my experience.
Ifts its off then its worth testing the motor and / or buying a brush repair kit and doing that as well.
I did mine with an ebay kit. Been perfect ever since.

The motor was eliminated by supplying 12v and it spun without issue. So in my case it was the module. I replaced the module and most lights went away (REd handbrake turned amber, low pressure and dtc went away)..
