A word of warning.... Roof Relays

So I've just been scrolling through eBay and came across these used roof relays....

A couple of things spring to mind, firstly that they have sold 5 already, who is seriously considering putting USED relays in for the roof? It's an unknown condition, possibly no better than the one coming out.
Secondly, you can buy genuine brand new ones for £22!!

In the description it states "Item is tested and fully working.", yeah (if at all) they've put a voltage across it and it operated the contact, that just means the relay coil works, that's not an indication of quality/condition of the contacts.

Always buy new, make sure they are genuine, and probably an even better price directly from the dealer.

Fitted these yesterday the ones on the car were the originals from 2009 - £35 for the pair from Sytner Sheffield 👍

I do wonder if they ever fail but don't fancy finding out the hard way 😉

Now I probably need to get an eBay advert up to sell the old ones - unless anyone on here wants them? 🤣

What were you scrolling eBay for ? Did you find what you were looking for ?
Nothing in particular.
You'd be amazed as to what some people call stuff, so every so often when I'm bored at work I'll do a general "BMW E89" search on eBay and just scroll, until I come across something of interest or that elusive part. This type of scrolling has come up trumps on more than one occasion in the past.

When I do that I end up buying another car - probably why I'm on my 7th E89 🤣

Don’t shout me down - are these the salmon relays? I didn’t realise it was because of their colour!
