Yes a great engine…confined to history by the bean counters and environmental based forces..

I really like the N52 engine - so much that I've got my 4th at the moment in my 3 Series. :)

Give it ten years they will all be junked by environmental concerns.
Read the other day that Ford are ceasing all ICE car production in a couple of years, Volvo as well I believe,

A bit of a non-article, that. More ads than paragraphs, it seems, and it claimed the most powerful ones being 230bhp which as we know is rubbish.

This article cropped up on my mobile the other day which is not a bad read:

Err no they won’t! Sure some makers are going 100% down the EV route but even the EU have conceded to the request of Germany and Italy namely BMW Porsche and Ferrari amongst others to keep selling ICE cars that run on synthetic fuels. Come 2035 and beyond there will still be millions if not hundreds of millions of ICE cars still on the roads of Europe. It’s not for nothing classic cars are still holding their values, did you not see the recent Sierra Cosworth that made almost £600,000?

That was quite a useful summary, even if they called the Z4 an E84. :?
