A power source that is only on when the car is

As the title says I'm after a power source that turns on with the car like the red that leads to the cigarette lighter.
Any idea on location? (preferably near the radio/centre console)
I've got it hooked up at the moment but it doesn't turn off when the car does. I plan on leaving a Bluetooth receiver plugged into it.

I used a fuse with a +wire plugged into the first spare fuse holder, bottom left of fuseboard. This is a switched live, and only comes on with ignition. Easy Peasy to run the wiring behind the dash to connect what you want.

Plenty of spare fuse slots of both live and ignition. Pop a spade connecter in with an inline fuse and you're done.

Special type of fuse for this or literally just wrap some wire round the bit of fuse?

Use a proper fuse, if you just use wire to make the link it may not blow if there's an issue on the fused side which may end up with a fire so not worth it for couple of pounds on a pack of fuses

Where can you close the link? Where does the negative wire go to?

Or put a spade terminal direct into an empty fuse socket of which there are plenty and add an inline fuse.
Earth wherever is convenient to the component you're adding, plenty of points or bolts going into the chassis.

Near the glove box I've used mounting bolts, take the passenger vent out and there are a few behind there. Pop a ring connector on then bolt back on.

Hi there. theres a multitude of screws and bolts that are used for the fusebox housing and bulk head. Any one of these can be used as an earth.
