Hi all.

Had my 20i sDrive M-Sport for over 3 years now and love it.

Refurbed wheels in gloss black, K&N panel filter and a remap.

Car runs 260bhp and 420nm of torque.

Would post a picture but don't seem to be able to.

I forgot to mention the grills and stubby aerial, my bad. Funny you should mention the badges as I have been tossing the idea of removing them around for a while now. Looks like it will now be my next mod.

Any tips on badge removal??? would you also suggest i remove the Z4 badge on the boot??

Hairdryer to warm the backing glue, then dental floss behind the badge in a sawing action.

Then clean off any excess glue residue (I used a little WD40), then quick wash, polish and wax the area to finish!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Whilst we are on the subject of debadging, once I have done that I will be left with one bit of chrome, the indicator surround. I'm not a fan of chrome on any car so would really like to get it done gloss black to match the grills. Does anyone know if I can buy gloss black replacements or would I have to remove and paint mine?

Welcome Op

I believe you can get them, But very rare and not sure if still made. Chat to BMW directly me thinks.

Or take them off and diy them.

Good choice of z4 :P
Agree with badge removal, gives you back the crisp lines the designer intended

Hello and welcome, nice looking car

Black indicators were discussed on here not long ago but as previously mentioned, they’re not cheap

Welcome to the forum. Seems the Z4 owners bug has already got under your skin. Looking good. :)

Hey guys what a friendly bunch you all are also some great advice. Seeing the Z4 above owned by Rob has now convinced me to lose the badges on mine.

The black indicator surrounds are still available from Germany, about 185 euros delivered which is currently about Β£165. Might go with a set as taking mine off and getting them professionally painted probably won't be much cheaper and there is always a risk of breaking them.

Thanks for all the kind comments on my car, appreciate them all
