A funny thing happened to me at work today.
Driving in ‘Middle Eastern’ country on a 4 lane dual carriageway. White Toyota Camry overtakes me and then pulls into the nearside lane and slows to about 70kmh. Passenger door half opens and the passenger appears to be trying to get out and then suddenly jumps from the vehicle into the road bounces and rolls and ends up in the centre of the nearside carriageway in a bit of a bloody heap. Now in the UK I would stop and render assistance (and at least ensure the car driver remained at the scene until the local ‘law’ arrived) but here witnesses to such incidents, especially expats are ‘detained’ while the police investigate the incident – sometimes 2/3 days.
So I drive on and wonder, ‘What was all that about?’
