Away on holiday in Europe at this time but have had a few niggles.

Bouncing back windows - random
Alarm - Went off in heavy rain whilst parked up at the hotel. It had been very hot (35+ ish) and I had parked up and closed the roof prior to the downpour.
Warning Notice- Steering, Power assistance failure! Turned off then on again to clear.

Other than that its done the job v nicely. Sits happily at 100mph + and shows an indicated 35mpg.

I'm sure the glitches will be sorted by the dealer at oil change time in a few weeks time.

The alarm is a known issue.

I had this problem. It's a sensor in the door and they place a little insulation between it and the door skin.

You can replicate it using a hose and spraying water on the door.

Had the car in for its two year oil service and they cannot find the cause of any of the faults!

Bouncing windows - Re calibrated/reset
Alarm - Can't find anything
Steering assist - Can't find anything

My epic engine management light on the Austria trip, which forced me to fly home, never showed up on diagnostics in Germany or UK. It took me to drive it away and floor the accelerator to be the warning light to come up and then drive it back to the dealer...so sometimes I think, when the fault clears, nothing gets stored

My Disco 3 had a fault code show and once switched off it would clear from memory. I was asked to call in and not switch off when it happened again - The fault was logged at this time. Its not always convenient to do this tho!

There is a PUMA on the service information at the dealers for the Alarm problem.

Perhaps you should mention it to them or take it to another dealer.

Hope you get everything sorted. Those other problems do cause some concern that you could otherwise do without.

A PUMA is a known case opened internally at BMW, and a recognised fault which has fixes recommended to assist repair
