Really cool shots!... Why is the number plate so small though?

I had the plates on my VX220 before, which had a small recess which suited a 3/4 size plate. I haven't bothered getting another one yet (lazy, I know!).

But i'm sure I've seen pics of your car with full size plates?!

Nup... not on the front you haven't... :P

Ah yes, it was the back, yes...

Pull yer finger out fella, you spend all that cash on that car... you could at least get a number plate that fits :D

Well I'm waiting to have the front bumper repainted (once it's collected a few stone chips from all these 'Ring visits) and have the numberplate plinth removed completely, ugly thing that it is...

To a complete novice, how do you go about getting to the 'ring, arranging a run, etc.

And how much does it cost.

Really tempted.

Just look up the tourist days (Touristenfahrten) on the Nurburgring Website and get yourself along. I can give you a few recommendations on places to stay near the track. Average prices are 100EUR per room per night (B&B).

A lap is about 18EUR, or multiple lap tickets are sold with a discount (about 240EUR for an 15-lap ticket for example).

There are some rules to the circuit on tourist days. German road law applies, so overtaking can only be done on the left etc...

http://www.nurburgring.org is an excellent site with loads of information about what to expect when you go. Worth a read...

Cheers sixspeed - some good info there.

Will definitely look into this. Really want to do it.

We ought to arrange a forum trip or something!
