The other half and me recently had a weekend in the Yorkshire Dales, we were there for the Grassington Christmas Festival, thought we'd better start getting festive. On the way home we decided to head up to Hawes and get some cheese from the Wensleydale factory... everyone loves cheese!
Here are a few pics of our jaunt there. Not the brightest of weather, but the beauty of the Dales is that it doesn't matter what the weather is like, it's still an amazing place to be.
The Zed and me, parked outside our pub retreat for the weekend, The Tennants Arms, Kilnsey.

We turned off at Buckden, traveling from Yockenthwaite towards Deepdale.

In the background, the locals started to get very suspicious!

Heading along the River Wharfe near Deepdale. Not the best weather, but still outstanding scenery.

Still following the River Wharfe, we crossed over the small stone bridge.

We followed the River Wharfe, then turned off onto Oughtershaw Road. This took us up into the low-level clouds!

Here we are, in the clouds. This then lead us down the other side to Hawes. In some parts we couldn't see further than 8 or 9 feet in front of us!

Plenty of cheese tasting later, we followed the main A684 road through Aysgarth and Leyburn, to the A1, and then home. This had been the first proper outing in the Zed, and the 3.0l engine was as smooth as anything traveling up and down the Dales. Can't wait until next time!
