Eibachs, Bilsteins, 313Ms all done and all booked up for Turner Motorsport RTAB limiters + Vibra-Technics engine mounts to be fitted on Wednesday. :)

SrongStrut braces have also cleared Customs, so should be here soon. :)

Really not sure about RTAB Limiters.....I'm convinced that along with polly bushes was the contributing factor to my huge accident in my 3.0 Z...dialling chassis flex out of a road car is very very unforgiving....

Could you de me a favour and post some pictures of both sides (top and bottom) of the front strut brace when you get it?

I think the design has changed since the one I have was made and I'd be interested to know exactly.

You are not removing chassis flex: not that there's much of it in a Z4MC. The purpose of the RTAB limiters is to remove the lateral play from the RTA bushes so that in the dynamic situation the rear wheels stay in the position that they are intended to be as per the static geometry settings, so that they don't suddenly change their toe angles under hard lateral loading, which would cause erratic behaviour of the rear wheels, and consequently, vehicle instability. This has to be an advantage to the way that the car can behave. I can't see how this can be the contributing factor to an accident unless the bushes/ limiters have been incorrectly installed. My car gives me better feedback with the RTAB Limiters. The reason that manufacturers don't fit solid bushes everywhere is to ensure that NVH is kept within acceptable levels for cars used on the roads.

Engine mounts arrived today so all good to go with fitting the RTAB limiters and the new engine mounts tomorrow.

Not sure how long it will take to clear Customs for the StrongSrtuts, hopefully not too long.

Exdos....my experience was that these mods just made the car too 'stiff' for normal road use....your interpritation is better than mine but basically I found there was less feel as to how the car was behaving on the road when pushing on and it was very nervous on uneven roads,,,great mods fir track use and immaculate surfaces to make the suspension work as it should at the limit......long story of my accident and the days prior to it but the change it made to the behaviour of the car and me not fully understanding it all at the time contributed to a very fast accident rolling 4 times,,,,it's my personal experience and unless I was tracking my car on a regular basis I would see no real need for these suspension mods for normal road use with OEM suspension,

Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the mods  If I keep the Zed then these two are next on my list.

Also very interested in the number of hours the garage charge to fit the limiter kit and engine mounts.

Similar to my list of modifications, you will like them all I think. I was really amazed by the effect the engine mounts have on the handling, didn't expect that. Do you have better pics of your car with 313Ms, in the signature they look great.
CDV delete and ZHP gearknob should also be on the list

Here's the car with 313Ms

I have seen them before on a Z4 M coupe and thought it looked ok, but on your car some how they are stunning
Maybe the color combo makes it extra special. Thanks for the pics!

Whats your verdict on the various mods so far?

I;ve got 313s on my wife's 3 series now on the second set (warranty fortunately) that are prone to corrosion in the centre/wheel hub area and where the BMW badge sits. Keep them clean and sealed with a good wax - I use Pourboys Wheel Sealer and this 3rd set have been fine. I remove the wheel badge each time I clean as this is where water can sit and start the corrosion. BUT they look good!

Alan, thanks for the tip!

I don't have Poorboys wheel sealant but I did clean them this morning, including behind the wheel caps, and treated them with some Auto Glym Wheel Seal (spray on and buff off when dry) so, hopefully, that will help protect them.
