A/C Stopped Working :-(

I tried the search function as I can't imagine I'm the first but nothing sensible came up.

When I bought the car (about 8 weeks ago now) I tested the A/C for a few seconds as part of the test drive and it was cold.

Came to use it today (first time since then) and it's definitely not cold :(

Is this a common fault (I'm hoping for a re-gas only) or is something more sinister potentially awaiting me ?
 
Take it for a re-gas and they'll tell you if there's anything wrong. No nasty noises from the compressor when you turn on the a/c? The only other worry would be if you've hit some debris and damaged a pipe.
 
No noises, just nothing, and not sure I've hit anything, but will try the re-gas first and see what happens....
 
Thanks - heating works fine - will have to look for fuse box and then work out if I can tell if one of them is bust....
