A bit of a unique Z4MR..

well I'm glad somebody else has finally taken the plunge but i don't think you can just strap on a blower like this and leave the rest of the car bone stock, it really needs suitable upgrades to cope with the power and on a 70k mile engine i really hope he's done a through engine health check before bolting that on, compression check, and the rod bearings definitely need changing as preventive work before screwing 200hp extra from a 70k mile engine... 20" wheels? stock brakes and suspension yet 7.5ks worth of engine mods? seems bit backwards but i can attest to the kit being flawless really... if someone body buys this and adds some supporting mods they will have a weapon. The ess warranty for the kit is actually good and they really honour any issues and are very helpful if alittle arrogant at times. Has the potential to be seriouly sorted but currently its a stock car with a rocket-ship engine which doesn't bode well imo, for example the engine mounts MUST be done with these FI kits imo, as engine movement with the extra power is insane. So many little things needs to be done to the car for it to be able to cope, use and deploy such performance, if you think you can bolt on that much power to a stock platform its going to cost you in the long run..... Why on gods earth spend this type of money then sell it after 1k miles, bare in mind you have to run the blower in for 500 miles!! lmao! so much needed to make this the package it can easily be with some ££££

I have to agree - it feels like there's been a bit of a Clarkson-esque attitude to the car; "powerrrrrrrr" and that's about all that's been focussed on.

Looks like a lovely tidy conversion, and provided the suitable works have been done as has been mentioned, it'd be an absolute weapon to drive! I really can't imagine that sort of power in a Z4! Still seems a little suspect to sell just a couple of months an 1000 miles later..
 
seems odd he didn't get uprated brakes. u would think he would hv budgeted that in before supercharging.

and selling 1000 miles after spending all that £. doesn't really add up.
 
Can I just go ahead and throw the elephant in the room..

In the add he has said £2000 for the 20" Vosser wheels. I have just taken a look on Google, and they are Axe EX14 and can be had for £230 per wheel!
The only "Carbon upgrades" I see on the car is the two housings for the MFSW buttons, to be I reckon this add smells horsesh** and if he thinks he can get over £20k for that, all I can say is good luck to who ever buys it! :rofl:

He says it's got CF wing mirrors too - and only claims £400 for carbon bits, so it was never likely to be a full carbon body.

Maybe the Axe EX14 wheels are a replica of the genuine Vosser wheels?

On another note, I've got a friend of a friend selling a road-legal VLN Z4MC for €35k.
 
I wouldn't suggest that it was a full body for that price but £400 for some steering wheel trims seem unlikely, even if it did have wing mirrors.

The reason I said the Axe wheels is because that's what the centre caps are.. Surely if you had some genuine expensive wheels, they would come with their own branded centre caps?

VLN car I can understand at the price as it has the supporting mods to go. Not only that race cars always command a higher premium.
 
Maybe the car simply isn't finished. There's lots of project cars that come up for sale part-finished due to owners financial or personal circumstances.

I do agree with what people are saying though - I would start with brakes and suspension and finish with power. Years of Gran Turismo taught me that much!! :lol:

Guy seems like a bit of a mug for dropping in so much power and apparently doing nothing else...

More likely the power is shaking the car to bits and he now knows what he needs to spend on other aspects of the car...!!
