Hi all,

I am getting the error message- "93e2 key operated switch passenger airbag short circuit" on my scanner (CGSULIT SC530), and the dashboard error light is on. The airbag module was replaced, and I seem to have coded the correct VIN to the unit through INPA etc. I don't have the key switch installed.
Any thoughts as to the best way to fix this?

Thank you, Keith

I have seen this once but it didn’t put a light on.
Are you sure no other codes? When you program the replacement module you usually get timeout codes on the other modules which need to be cleared too.
My other suggestion would be to view the options in the SBSL using NCS Expert and NCS Dummy and see if you can switch off the check off that switch.

I had similar. Fitted an airbag ECU that had this option coded to a car that didn't have the switch

As said, using NCS to set the feature to not active resolved the issue for me. I can't remember what the option was called, but it was fairly obvious with NCS dummy (some things are quite obscure. This wasn't)

Thanks. Those suggestions were what I thought I needed to do. I'll try today with NCS as it's sunny today. Too cold in the carport yesterday.
