£80million...? Pin money

Why the furore over an apparent 80mill being moved around the planet by banks and crims...? It’s pocket money and nothing that hasn’t been happening for decades....the world is corrupt and has been since money was invented no...?

Well, not really. There are rules and regs and if banks break them they get hammered and so they should. I am not familiar with this case (HSBC) but some of these cases finance terrorists and break sanctions. So, it maybe pin money as you see it but at the end of the chain normal people get hurt.

People getting hurt was the point really Steve, hence my comment about the world being corrupt. I just don’t know why this particular 80mill has been flagged up is all when it’s been happening for decades.

Easy answer to that John is that the press like to kick the banks all the time. e.g. Whenever online baking goes down for a few minutes the media are all over it. But then the media are all over everything these days trying to create their own news for online clicks.
