Most enjoyable drive north today from our 10 days on the med . Can't praise the 330d enough :) it has a voracious appetite for roads
Left at 6-30am through the vineyards of the Languedoc up through the gorges of the Herault with some epic scenery snaking up to 1050mtr above sea level ( the highest motorway in UK is 320mtr ) mpg dropped from 40 to 32 after highest climb :?
Millau Viaduct with mist below was a nice sight http://frances.iesleonardodavinci.net/materiel/vrac/millaud1.jpg
shame the drive dulled off after the first 250 miles . middle 200miles poured with rain but now back in Normandy for 2 nights & its sunny again .
I couldn't imagine feeling so fresh after the same mileage in the uk , 8 hours behind the wheel with 3x20 min breaks :driving:
90 euros fuel / 56 euros tolls & vino time for driver now

Quite agree , its a real pleasure driving on the wrong side of the road , no pot holes or road works to contend with. Have just returned from a 3000 mile trip that took in nice ...Sorrento. .then up to Geneva and back home, £ 320 in tolls but worth every penny :driving:
