5 Series question

OK, so not really an "other marques" thing, but "we" are looking for a large estate and the 530e seems a good choice.

We've seen this one - https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202601309539089 the only non M-sport we can find within a reasonable distance, but it seems cheap and has been on sale since it was MOTd in Feb, gradually creeping down from £27620.

Anyone got an idea why - is it really something as simple as the SE with smaller wheels, squishier tyres, and softer suspension is less desirable on today’s beautifully maintained roads?

On a Z related theme the MC will be on sale (again) once we replace the aged and slightly tatty Avensis. At the moment her Z is our only car with working aircon.

Just an observation as someone who ran a 530e as a company car until recently.
On the plus side, they are comfortable, rapid and handle well.
Alas, that is all the positives.

It had rubbish range, just over 250 miles in the real world (stupid small tank) with the electric motor element managing about 10 miles on average.

Then there were the software glitches...
Things would randomly throw a fault warning, then go back to normal after restarting, especially the TPMS!

Honestly, the reason for the lack of selling is probably people getting twitchy about the hybrid system and the potential costs.
On a BMW hybrid, I would too.

If you want a big practical estate, why not the Volvo or the Skoda?
