Hi guys,
My 2012 e89 20i is nearing the 40,000 km service and will be the first one I do since I bought it (bought it at 34,000 km six months ago).
The previous owner did all the services up to 30,000 km directly with the BMW dealership as per the regular schedule (services up to 30K were included in the guarantee). So this is the first time the car will go through a paid service. Unfortunately, I'm not a very mechanichal guy and are not familiar with what is worth checking at this stage.
I'll be doing an oil and filter change, but I have some questions on what else should I be looking for.
1) Brake pads were changed at 30,000 km . How can I know if brake rotors need replacing (these were not changed before AFAIK)?
2) is there anything I should be looking for regarding the hardtop mechanism at this stage or should this be looked at later?
3) I should be changing spark plugs, correct?
4) Just making sure... I should be checking/changing all brake fluid and transmission fluid, right? Any other hydraulics?
5) I'd appreciate if you can point out anything I might be missing.
Many thanks
Luis
