Hey Guys,

I'm just about to invest in some new wheels, cant decide between VMR 710's & CSL reps.

I was wondering what my 108's are worth as I may well part with them to cover some of the cost on the new ones.

I have 4 genuine original wheels, all of which need a refurb....although they look smart enough at the moment.

They are on bridgestone RFT's, two of the tyres really need replacing but the other two are fine.

What do you think I could ask for them?

Thanks for your help.

Some pic's might be a good idea, for people to comment on the potential value..

Which RFTs, need replacing also.. As the rears are a lot more expensive than the fronts..

GLWTS too..

Cheers..

108's in good order but needing full refurb & fresh rubber ? £150 8)
labour intensive to split & unless you know the wheels are undamaged once split & blasted they may well have previous therapy/filler so are always a gamble , JMO

£150 ? Chancer...

That wasn't an offer .
last set i bought in all honesty were straight & unbuckled but very shabby cosmetically with 2 decent tyres .
Paid £120 + courier then after shotblast revealed areas of filler on 2 wheels
Just a honest reply to OP question :|

I paid £225 last year for mine, which needed a refurb.....

Refurbed them myself and stuck winters on them.

I'd agree that £150 is in the right area. Buyers might stretch to £200 if lucky.

You have to do the maths £150 for rims £30' courier and say £200-£300 refurb.depending on who does it and what needs fixing (paint, scrapes, buckles, cracks, etc.)

Buyer is out £380 to £480 plus £500 for a set of tyres.

That's why some folks simply look to buy a set of aftermarket rims that may well come with tyres for not much more money.

He says he's had a cash offer of £240 to collect them tomorrow :o i told him to tear his arm off ! that's crazy cash pre refurb

Thanks for the info & opinions guys. I may well be back with some pics & a FS thread at some point.

Cheers

I know, I'm selling mine when winter comes as ill have winter wheels on but pretty gutting what ill potentially get for them considering they have new Bridgestone RFTs on.

The only thing in my favour is they are refurbished and mint.

That's different as the potential buyer has new tyres and mint rims, so will pay well, vs having to do a refurb and buy new tyres plus fit and balance.
