3rd brake like light in a Coupe versus Roadster

I noticed yesterday that the 3rd brake light in my coupe's boot is coloured RED - yet in roadsters it is clear.

Does anyone know why?

Some roadsters have red ones too... mainly pre-facelift though.

My Roadster is a 53 plate and currently has a red lense although I noticed the other day that there are some chips round the edges so it will need changeing. Good time to go for clear then :wink:

I think red was standard on the e85, except for the ///M ? I have never seen a clear one on a coupe, normal or ///M - can you even get them ?

ironically for the roadster the clear is actually cheaper then the red one from the steelers... i would have thought they would have put an M tax on it!
