3m finesse it

Been through the doldrums last day or two. Some acid a....sed seagull dumped its load on my nice blue paintwork. I guess that as the paint was hot the offending excrement baked on the bodywork. No amount of washing (within 6 hours of being targeted) would get it off so I had to resort to a carefully used fingernail to scrape it away. Once removed the paint was stained. About 3 inch long skid mark on the roof and a wider splat near the boot. Resorted to autoglym, nothing, t cut, nothing.

In frustration and despair I went to see my ever helpful BMW salesman who magicked up some 3m solution. A little careful rubbing and the offending marks were lost forever.

Now to buy some of my own!

I hate seagulls - flying rats! :brucelee:

My car got pooped on yesterday. Skid mark up the wing :(

Washed off today.

That 3M sounds good.

Friday morning came out to poop all over the boot got the hose out before I left for work...ended up walking into work about 9.10 lol

Perhaps Recession White or Titanium Silver is the answer. The marks are not easily shown up on light paintwork.

True, but the downside is that its not so easy to spot the crap in the first place. White hides a lot - swirls for instance...but they can still be there!

Debs 1'er has had a bird poo on it every morning this past week! Comes off easily enough, but I think she's being targeted!

Glad you got it sorted. What the 3M stuff called?

Nah deco seagulls no pigeons in ellesmere port. The seagulls have scared them all away!

£25 per litre, can't find it in smaller bottles, ordered off eBay already

Just be certain to use it carefully/sparingly. Its not a cure all, its a cutting agent, therefore it removes some of your lacquer.

I had a white car and would love a white zed. White is very easy to keep clean compared to black :(

Just had the same bird poo problem, you got a link? What do you do with it? Just rub it in?

Just did a search on eBay and went for the lowest cost, litre bottle which I reckon will last for years £25 inc delivery

BMW man used it like polish, rub it on and buff it off, polish or protect after though to give a reseal

:D
