3cm drop = rims stick out less?

Not sure if the topic title is clear, but here's my problem: just fitted some CSL's (reps) but at the rear they stick out about 10 mm (tyres are 265/30/19). So I guess the offset isn't perfect. I don't mind it that much. And for MOT it's not an issue because 19's aren't allowed anyway (have 108's for this).

The question is: if I mount shorter springs, will they stick out even more, less or will it remain the same? Does anyone have any experience with this?
The topic has probably been covered before but couldn't find the answer straight away... so, sorry if it's a repost...

yes, lower you go better it gets as you get more camber

that how mine looked before coilowers

If you drop the suspension, the change in camber will bring the top of the wheels in slightly  also, maybe change the tyre size from 265 to a 255. I have done both with same fitting wheels and it fits a charm :D

265 tyres are brand new, so don't really want to change them...
Won't my wheels hit the arch with a 30-35 mm drop?

LukeMace, Did you have any issues with 265's and a drop?

The car is looking great bad? Lower and 255 tyres. Mine stick out about the same I am going to lower if that ose not is things I might look into removing a few mm of the inside of the wheel.

i couldn't drive with 255's as car was sitting on them  but my wheels abit wider and has lower offset

my x5 rims previous had 255 30 19s on 10 inch rears & i had no scrubbing.

Ive just fitted some new 265 30 19s on the rear so will let you know if I have any problems, but theres not much difference in the tyres to me

Mine stuck out a fair bit, lowering down bought them back inside the arch nicely with no rubbing

It looks like I could go to marius's height with out any problems too

That was taken with no springs just lowered down on the jack just to give me an idea of what it would look like and how low I could go

Wheel size is:
10J x17" ET28 5x120

Thanks for the feedback guys, I admit I was a little worried when I saw the wheels sticking out like that. Now I feel pretty confident it will be solved when lowering the car
