373miles +-2miles between fill ups

So bizar the last 4 fillups have been 375, 375, 370, 374 miles Different petrol stations and different types of driving.

Not complaining that I can get 370 miles per 48l from my 2.8 compared to between 278 and 320 my last 3.0, latter was over 50l.

Just seems strange.

lucky you. i average about 300-330 miles on my 20i unless i do a decent motorway stint which can get me up to your mpg figures

Thats what I dont understand, all are 2.0 at the base so unless you start hitting the turbo we should be getting like for like, then I should be way down as more horses to feed.

Must admit today after fill up I was over 44mpg over 20 miles, then pushing it it for a mile it soon dropped to 39mpg.

Bit of jackle and hyde.

May be its better to have lots of horses for a shorter time.

going to check the curves, but even in 6th at 50 mph its not in the 1300 turbo range.

I only go by the obc as a relative guide so far its always been 3 mpg higher than actual. so full to empty is when i get abs value.

I haven't had a full tank of fuel in mine for years... :? but half a tank shows 200 miles. Assuming both halves of the tank are equal... :? I guess that makes 400 miles from a full tank.

But part of the tank is a reserve of 50 miles or so of course...

I'm happy to see anything over 200miles out of a tank. I know the M will do 34mpg, cos I've done it a few times with MrsG abord, for a run Up T North. But I try not to make a habit of it, if I can help it.
