Hey guys for the last few days I've really been thinking about a 35is in yellow, I love that colour! The thing is iv only had my 3.0 auto since april is it a bit soon for an upgrade already? Has anyone gone from a 3.0 to 35is, obviously there will be some difference but is it just '!!!!!!' Whats everyones thoughts I know there arent many yellow ones around do, do they still make them in yellow? I'd love to have one prehaps its better to wait a few years first I really don't know what to do!

Few on here who have made the switch. Wouldn't worry about the timeframe; if its something you want and you can afford it then you only live once. Am sure you could get a good deal as we approach the end of the summer too.

Good luck!

Im not after something new but if it works out I can get a new one thats super I'd still like some extras I love the nav for conveiance some others I'm not too fussed about but more the better.

I want a S too but will have to wait several years till i've cleared the finance on my 3 litre.
Would also want more toys esp bluetooth, uprated speakers, cruise and possibly sat nav

We have made the step up from 3.0i Highline M Sport to the 35is and cannot believe the difference.
We have only done 200 miles so far and stilll running it in but boy it wants to go.
Really pleased with it. MPG, who cares now. The exhaust note and the way it babbles when changing down is much better than any music.

The main differences with the 35is is the adaptive suspension which works really well with the RFTs, even with 19" rims, to give a much superior ride. There is, of course, the additional oomph at WOT which becomes totally addictive and the +10dB exhaust which really accentuates the woofles etc. These all contribute to the smile being that little bit wider than other Z's can conjure up.

My 35iS definitely has more controlled and softer suspension (in normal) to the non adjustable 35i I drove previously on 19's. It also feels noticeably quicker and noisier ... so I am happy

As for yellow, this is no longer an option and Valencia Orange is the replacement I believe. But you might be able to find an used one. Not many about though.

Thats a shame only one on autotrade and thats only 35i Msport might be harder than first thought is a full respray expensive slightly cheating but still maybe a lot easier.

dont respray it, just have it wrapped. should only cost about £800-£1k depending on where you go and can be removed when you come to sell the car without being devalued

I agree with this. Best way to change the colour of the car whilst protecting the paint work and maybe appealing to others when you come to sell. Pristine paint work would be a pretty rare thing.

How does wrapping work is it literally just a big sticker andyou wash wax and polish the same? If so is there no way it can 'peel' off?

Yeh basicly it is just sticky back plastic with a mild adhesive that does not damage the paint.

You need to be more careful when washing, and obviously no polish - seems to last a while before you damage it & have to start again.

I've heard of people getting 18 months & it still looking nice, so I would say it is more of a short term thing than a real respray.

I had a wrap put on my car around 3 years ago, I just take it to a £5 car was every week and its fine. 3 years later it looks as good as new.
