35i offset alternatives

Can anybody advice me what alternative offsets I could get away with on my car? Currently I have 19" 296 wheels, if I'm correct there 8.5Jx19 ET29 for the front & 9Jx19 ET40 for the rears. What alternative BMW OEM wheels would fit?

Also whats peoples view on aftermarket Alloys? I only ask as I've read some horror stories about them, should I be looking for any particular make to give me quality, reliability & safety?

Cheers.

Looking at options myself (28i) finding the topic a minefield :?

This site seems useful in understanding what fitment you need : https://www.wheel-size.com/size/bmw/z4-roadster/2012/

just select your model

Thanks

I've already been on this site, OK but you need to go through each individual BMW model to check there offsets.

Its also for the American market so may not be 100% accurate to UK models I guess.

Worth a look though..

Fronts are 8j not 8.5j , rears are 9j
Aftermarket wheels are no more likely to trouble you than the 296s but buy from a reputable supplier
i wouldn't go over 8.5j front 9.5j rears on width / offset go for around et 26 - et 30 front et 35-40 rear

Thanks for that, I did intend to write 8J, slip of the fingers. Any after market brand you would recommend?
