30i front discs replacement

If you have a budget for brakes i.e. discs and pads, the stopping power of the car is hugely biased towards the quality of the pad, put your money there. Unless you are doing track work the discs have a relatively smaller impact on the performance of the braking of the car.

330 x 24 300 x 20

Both ventilated as a minimum

Thanks Peter, confirms my suspicion the ECP ones above are cheap because they are actually 300mm (even though they appear in the front discs section) so looks like another error on their site as flagged by Scott.

300mm applied to 18i, 20i and 23i …
Are you sure the 30i brakes are not the same as the 23i?
I thought it was only the 35i 35is and 28i that had larger front discs.

23i has 300mm front disc…30i has 330mm..

All cars accept European 35i / 35is have the same size rear discs..

So that’s cleared that one up, 330mm it is. Obviously I am gonna change the pads at the same time, do all E89s have wear sensors ?

Yes, I think so. One per axle only, though. It is possible to re-use them if you are careful and they have not touched the disc (ie no warning light).
You can see the sensor cable (nearside wheel on front on my 18i) if you look through the wheel. It goes into the centre of the caliper.
