Can anyone tell me why when the temperature gets to 3 degrees my car beeps at me regardless of what I am doing? It frightened the life out of me the first time it happened as I was just driving along minding my own business!

Thanks
Lucy

Yeah mine annoys me too!

I was driving in front of a Z4 on the M25 2 days ago and the 3 degree thing beeped. I thought it would be funny to flash my hazards, hoping his computer warned him at the exact point mine did. :D

Sadly he didnt flash me back :(

Being new to the car this caught me out recently, it was more the tone of the 'beep' than anything mind.

Another one with this cold weather ... the car was frozen solid this morning, when opening the door the windows wouldn't do there automatic slide down thing. Then trying to close the door after the window was bashing against the seal, doh!

Probably as well the windows would not drop the 1/2" as it's common that they get ripped out of the carrier and drop inside the door.

Someone did it in the last week or so.

i always put some warm water over the joint between the window and roof and the door seal before i open the door and they always work fine

that would be me ;)

Better get used to it, the "Beep" can be a lifesaver if you're not paying attention to the temperature, most cars have it now and ice on the road can cause huge problems if you aren't looking for it.

its better the beep scares you than hitting black ices without warning, now that would scare you lol

does anyone read the manual ,or finding out about the cars features as they occur??

sometimes you get pleasantly surprised about features you did not know about.
