Hi
I've had a 2007 z4 coupe for coming up to a year now. Mot was a few weeks back, and my manual said the above two functions can be set on the key.
(convenience entry being where u press unlock button twice and driver window automatically lowers when u open the door and raises again when u close it (i think) sounds damn handy for getting in and out when it's in my garage, at the mo I have to stand there and manually raise the window once I'm out by holding down the lock button on the key, not that much hassle, but if it can do it automatically without me standing there holding my lock button for 15seconds I want it!).
So, took it into local stealers (vines in redhill) and asked for them to be added when the did Mot (and obligatory rear spring replacement!)
Came to pick the car up and was told my car doesn't have those functions.
Now that's not what my manual implies, and not what this forum seems to indicate.
I did argue with the guy at the stealers a little, but he was adamant so I didn't feel at the time I could argue with him too hard.
So whats the score? Am I being spun a yarn by a lazy git stealer who can't be ar$ed to do it (of simply doesn't know how), or do some coupes have this option and others not.
It's not an m coupe by the way, just the 3.0 si.
Thanks chaps
Rich
