I know this may sound boring but one of they key things I like about the Z4 is the heating / heated seats.
After trying the mazda mx5, honda s2000 and audi tt from around the 2007 mark i would say the Z4 is much better at heating. This may sound stupid, but nice warm seats and good heating (from 3L) is the difference between me going for a drive, or not going for a drive as my wife likes a warm car. The seats + good heating means I can quite comfortably go out in around 8c temperature.
I'm sure some will put a hat on, but a jumper is enough for me.
I know it's boring, but it makes the car usable for much longer parts of the year, making it less of a summer car.
