3.0i Front Brembo discs and pads

Because I'm a bit of a clot I ordered a full set of front and rear discs and pads for my car but didn't get the correct set. The rears were fine but the fronts were too small.

So I have a set of 300mm brembo drilled and grooved discs with pads to suit that I don't need.

I’m a bit confused Dave. If they’re the stated set for the car (as per the serial numbers) then why wouldn’t they fit? How do I know if they’d fit mine or if they’d be too small as well?

I have a new to me Alpina. I was under the impression that it ran the same brake setup as a standard pre face-lift 3.0i. The rears are the same but I was wrong about the fronts. Alpina raided the BMW parts bin and used the discs from an e46 330i/330d and the calipers from a Z4m.

Basically the Alpina uses 325mm discs and the 3.0i uses 300mm discs.

If you have a pre 2006 face-lift 3.0i then these will fit as they are 300mm.
