So had noticed my E86 ambient temp sensor had gone , its always stuck at -40, had a play around with the connector and the issue is still persisting. This explains the 2F9A code. The only real issue I've noticed so far is my climate control is always blowing out hot air, which makes sense since its lost its temperature reference. I was wondering whether anyone has had any other issues pop up because of this sensor?
And secondly, I've got a 2AAB error code which suggests a DISA valve problem. Currently get a little hunting at idle (have replaced VANOS and the Valvetronic motor so those are good, checked values in INPA across the board all looks good). Is there anyway to tell which valve is the issue without taking parts off ? And again any other symptoms that show up with this error code?
I've also noticed a change in exhaust note on occasion which sounds like its from the rear of the engine, just wondering whether this could be a cause or a symptom of a problem ?
