2500 miles and the tyres are dead!

I was moaning about the rate I am getting through rear tyres to a friend and he pointed out that spending nearly as much on tyres as petrol was actually pretty cool!

I am still not convinced.

How many miles do you manage before needing to change your front/rear tyres?
 
In have 12,000 km and on the original set. Will probably get another 5-8,000 km before the rears need replacing....
 
LOL 2.5K! Not surprising the way you go round corners. Swapped mine at 9K, though this set seem to be disappearing quicker than the last!
 
Good god man thats viscious wear!

Ive been to the 'Ring on this set and drive, er, 'quick' most of the time...I'm at 11k on original tyres, not quite on the indicators at the back yet and the fronts have plenty left. Suprising as I got through a set of Contis on my M3 in 8k and my driving style is about the same...I have never done what you did in that vid though so that must help

Swapped out my first set of PS2 rears just before I went to the 'Ring last weekend...

Did about 18k on them I reckon... including 3 'Ring visits, a day at Spa and a session at Castle Coombe, plus my Le Mans antics...

Maybe I don't drive it hard enough!?
