245 45 18 tyres

Hello,

I have a 2008 2.5i sport. I've taken delivery of some part worn conti winter contact tyres from ebay:

Front: 225 40 18
Rear: 245 45 18

Clearly I wasn't paying attention and should have ordered 225 40 18 and 245 40 18

The tyres are at 5 mm so have lost 3 mm from new. Suspension is in good condition and not sagging. 'willtheyfit.com' gives an arch gap loss of 21 mm, so call it 18 mm including tyre wear. Currently have 255 35 18s on the rear with plenty of room.

Question is, will they fit ? Not fussed about the % speedo error, I wont be speeding about in the cold.

Oh also, wheels are style 135 which I think are 8 j front and 8.5 j rear, if that helps.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

245/45x18 should be OK on the rear - I've got 255/45x18s on the back of my Coupe and they don't rub.

They also fill the arches a bit better than the standard 255/40s on the M!
