23i Exhaust tips?

Hi guys ,
First post here and wasn't sure where to put it... but I think it warrants discussion! I'm looking to clean/replace the exhaust tips on my 2010 23i and have no idea whether the tips actually come off or if they're welded? couldn't find any bolts so a bit confused :roll:
Hoping this is the place to be for someone more knowledgeable to help?

They come off. It may take a bit of force but they are just pushed on.

If they are anything like the ones on my old E46 3 Series good luck getting them off!

Squirt some oil or wd40, they come off easy enough. Then just buy some stainless off ebay.
Could do as i did

they have spring clips inside that hold it to the pipe. You can easily remove them with a small hammer and a block of wood from underneath. They may even pull straight off with a good straight tug.
Be aware though, if the clips are rotted and break you will need to replace them.
Buy OEM tips from BMW on Ebay
