23i exhaust tips

Hi all. I want to replace the tips on my silencer but I don't want to replace them with aluminium again. Can anyone tell me what the outside diameter of the steel pipe is that the tips push on to? That way I can source replacements before attempting to pull or cut them off.
Thanks in advance.

Pulled off the tips and measured the silencer exit diameters=60mm. The inside diameter off the push on tips =70mm and the external =72mm. I did a lot of searching but it's difficult to say what is going to fit. A lot of them on ebay are stating that the measurements given are +/- 2mm!! I did try my tips on my wifes 1.4TSI Scirroco and they fitted fine so the Scirroco ones on ebay are definetely an option. I ended up going for a pair that are supposed to fit a 325i and 328i. Don't have them yet but will update once they arrived. I also contacted a couple of plating companies for quotes to chrome plate the originals but they were wanting £60-£80 each tip!!

You know, all said and done if you get them plated you will probably get a far superior item, it will fit perfectly and without doubt look better for longer than anything on Ebay from China....

They were tight but I wiggled them up and down first to get some vertical movement at the end of the tip then just gave them a good pull

Surely they must have been off before or they are not originals, the original ones are spot welded on unless I'm very much mistaken.

Some pics of the tips. First pic are the originals.

The angle of the cut is slightly different from the silencer pipes but it's not too noticeable. Quite happy with them :)

Fitted the old tips to my wifes Scirroco for now.

There's no welding on 23i tips :)
Obviously they needed to be welded on with a 35is, the extra power might just blow them off.
