235/40R18 and 255/35R18 Setup

Anyone running this setup? Anyone think I'd have any issues with M rims?

My rears have crept under 3mm and I need to change all four as I'm running on M profiles at the moment.

In terms of speedo issues it would only be off by 1.26% (70mph would actually be 70.88mph), which is ok considering my speedo is off by more anyway with the current tyres I have. EDIT: The rears would still be standard so not sure how the speedo would be effected in that case? :?

I've been doing some reaserch and have read very good things about Conti SC 5P's, but they don't do 225's hence the thread. :thumbsdown:

Standard sizes for 108" are actually: 225/40 R 18 (front), 255/35 R 18 (rear).

On my previous Z4's (Non-///M) I always ran for summer tire 235/40-18 front and 265/35-18 rear. Never a problem with rubbing and the slightly larger rear tire all but correct the speedo error...

So has anyone got any experience with these tyres. I've just checked camskill and the 18's are under the "People Carrier Tyres" section and specifically for Mercs only? Hmmm... :?

Standard sizes for 108" are actually: 225/40 R 18 (front), 255/35 R 18 (rear).

pilchardthecat, only M's should have the larger profile. Non-M's should be 35 on the rears and 40 on the fronts.

Personally i would stick to 225/40's. Is yours lowered? Sorry cant remember

As if you do lower it, then they will rub on the front arches.

Not lowered and never plan to TBH. It's low enough for me.

The fact that the 18's are in the SUV section has got me wondering though. :?
